Please note - Ndiyo has now officially closed its doors, at least as a legal entity - but we've kept the site alive in case any of the information is useful to others.
Our thanks to all those who helped out and were involved in so many different ways! The Ndiyo legacy lives on in the ultra-thin-client work at its spin-off DisplayLink, at Plugable, at NoPC and elsewhere...
Ndiyo releases ev2vnc software
ev2vnc is a utility which allows low-level Linux keyboard and mouse events to be sent to a VNC server.
As part of our experiments around the Hubster concept, we needed the ability to use keyboards and mice plugged into a machine with graphical sessions running on that, or on other computers, without involving the primary desktop session on the machine.
Ev2vnc is therefore a small utility which fills a very restricted and specific niche! And it is in an early stage of development. But we intend it to be the first of many pieces of Open Source software released by the Ndiyo project, so, for us, it is significant!
We hope others may find it useful.
More information can be found on the ev2vnc project page.
